Program Overview

The MSc in International Negotiation & Business Development at Rennes School of Business is a specialised postgraduate program designed to prepare students for international, client-facing careers in business development, strategic sales, partnerships, and commercial negotiation. Delivered entirely in English, the programme responds to the growing need for professionals who can drive revenue, manage complex negotiations, and build long-term business relationships across borders and cultures.

The primary goal of this program is to develop graduates who can design, lead, and manage international negotiation processes, while simultaneously contributing to business growth, market expansion, and value creation. Students are trained to understand negotiation not only as a sales skill, but as a strategic management capability embedded within international business development.

A defining strength of the MSc is its dual focus on negotiation expertise and business development strategy. Students acquire in-depth knowledge of international negotiation techniques, intercultural negotiation, strategic selling, key account management, partnership development, pricing and value creation, and market entry strategies. The program places strong emphasis on understanding how negotiation supports long-term commercial performance and sustainable business relationships, particularly in global and multicultural environments.

The program makes extensive use of negotiation simulations, role plays, case studies, group projects, and real business scenarios, enabling students to apply frameworks and techniques in realistic, high-pressure contexts. This hands-on approach ensures graduates develop not only conceptual understanding, but also confidence, persuasion skills, and decision-making agility.

Another core objective of the programme is to prepare students for international professional environments. Through its curriculum and teaching approach, the MSc develops strong capabilities in cross-cultural communication, stakeholder management, and international business etiquette, all of which are essential for roles involving global clients, partners, and markets.

Employability is a central pillar of the program as the Rennes School of Business maintains close relationships with industry and consistently reports 95–98% employment within six months across its master’s programmes. Graduates of negotiation and business development–focused tracks progress into roles with organisations such as Accenture, Capgemini, Amazon, Deloitte, EY, Orange, Airbus, TotalEnergies, Danone, and international consulting and sales-driven companies, reflecting strong employer demand for commercially skilled, internationally oriented professionals.

Rennes School of Business is among the top 1% of business schools worldwide to hold the Triple Crown Accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA), ensuring global recognition, academic rigour, and employer credibility. The program also benefits from RSB’s highly international learning environment, with students from 100+ nationalities, further strengthening graduates’ ability to operate in global business contexts.

The MSc is delivered at the Rennes campus, one of France’s most student-friendly and economically active cities, offering a high quality of life, modern infrastructure, and lower living costs compared to Paris, while remaining well connected to major European business hubs.

As a trusted study-abroad partner, GlobalGrads supports Indian students end-to-end—from personalised counselling and application assistance to visa guidance, pre-departure preparation, and transition support—ensuring a smooth and confident pathway into this commercially focused, negotiation-driven international business program.
