Program Overview

The MSc in Supply Chain & Logistics at CBS International Business School is a postgraduate program taught entirely in English, built for students who want to work in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or operations. The program takes you through the full picture of how modern supply chains actually work and, more importantly, how to lead them.

The program focuses on three core areas:

  • How to design, manage, and improve global supply chains
  • How digital tools like AI, IoT, and Logistics 4.0 are changing the way logistics works
  • How to build supply chains that hold up under real pressure—climate disruptions, shifting regulations, geopolitical instability

Beyond those three pillars, you will build a strong foundation in financial analysis, strategy, empirical research, and operations- the expertise needed to engage credibly with senior management from day one. The program doesn't just train you for one type of role. It gives you the range to move across industries and functions as your career develops.

One of the distinguishing features of this programme is the consulting project. Working in teams, students receive a live brief from an actual client company- firms such as E&Y, UPS, and KPMG have been involved- define the problem, develop evidence-based solutions, and present their recommendations directly to the client. This is not a simulation. By graduation, students have already delivered the kind of structured, client-facing work that consulting roles demand from day one.

The curriculum is built around what the business world looks like today, not ten years ago. AI-based data research and empirical analysis are core to the programme, not optional modules. Sustainability and corporate responsibility are woven in too, because advising organisations on ESG is no longer a niche skill, it is a baseline expectation.

Germany holds the largest logistics market in Europe- one of the most significant globally, employing over 3.3 million people and generating approximately 20% of Europe's total logistics revenue. For students pursuing careers in strategy or consulting, this isn't incidental context; it's the economic environment they'll be operating in.

The institution has built meaningful ties with over 1,300 companies, supported by a Career Service team that works with students individually. The outcomes reflect that investment: 94% of graduates secure employment within six months, with firms like PwC, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, and Deutsche Telekom among the regular hiring partners. In strategy and consulting, where client engagements routinely span multiple countries and cultures, the ability to work across diverse teams is a professional necessity, and CBS's student community, representing 75+ nationalities, ensures that experience begins long before graduation.

Through this program, students begin their master's journey right here in India, studying through Amity University Online before moving to CBS in Cologne to complete the degree. Amity also supports students through the entire process- from counselling and admissions to visa paperwork and pre-departure preparation.

Why Choose This Program?

This MSc is for students who want to go beyond a general management degree and actually specialise, in an industry that touches every sector, every country, and every company globally.

Germany is where supply chain happens: Germany runs one of the world's most sophisticated manufacturing and logistics ecosystems. Companies like DHL, DB, Schenker, Rhenus Logistics and Volkswagen all have massive supply chain operations here. Studying in Cologne places you at the centre of one of Europe's most significant business hubs, with direct access to industries and employers that few master's programmes can offer during the degree itself.

Dedicated Curriculum: A lot of master's programs cover supply chain as one module within a broader business degree. This one is entirely focused on it. Procurement, digital logistics, global supply chain strategy, operations, sustainability- these aren't add-ons. They're the whole program, which means you go much deeper than a generalist degree ever could.

You'll work on real company projects: CBS's business projects place students in real consulting engagements, receiving live briefs from companies, developing solutions, and presenting recommendations directly to the client. For employers at firms such as EY, KPMG, and UPS, the distinction between academic coursework and demonstrated, client-facing project experience is significant, and this programme ensures graduates can speak to the latter.

Market-Ready Expertise: AI, IoT, Digital Twins, and Logistics 4.0 are dedicated modules within the curriculum . As companies increasingly seek professionals who can apply these technologies in operational contexts, this programme ensures graduates are equipped with precisely the expertise that most traditional master's programmes do not cover.

18 months to find a job in Germany after you graduate: Germany offers an 18-month job seeker visa for international graduates, which is one of the more generous post-study work arrangements in Europe. Combined with CBS's career support infrastructure and a corporate network of over 1,300 partner companies, 94% of graduates secure employment within six months of graduation- a placement rate that speaks to the strength of both the programme and its industry connections.

75+ nationalities in one classroom: The supply chain is inherently international. You're constantly working with suppliers, partners, and teams across different countries and cultures. The mix of students at CBS, from over 75 countries, means you're already practising that kind of collaboration before you even step into your first job.

Start in India, finish in Germany: Students begin the program via Amity University Online before transitioning to CBS in Cologne. Amity also supports students through admissions, visa paperwork, and pre-departure preparation, so you move abroad in the smoothest possible manner.
