Who should take the GRE?

Students planning to pursue master’s or doctoral programs, especially in the U.S. or internationally, often take the GRE. It’s also accepted by some business schools as an alternative to the GMAT.

How is the GRE scored?

Verbal and Quantitative sections score 130–170, Analytical Writing 0–6. Subject Tests score 200–990. Percentiles indicate relative performance, and scores are valid for 5 years.
 

How often can I take the GRE?

The GRE can be taken once every 21 days, up to 5 times in 12 months, giving test-takers flexibility to improve their scores.
 

How long are GRE scores valid?

GRE scores remain valid for five years, enabling applicants to submit scores to multiple institutions during that period without retaking the exam.
